fall

I took this photo yesterday as part of my " year 20" series. I love the swirl of the trunk in this one.

self portrait

maui at sunrise - feet in the water. Today my feet are in my slippers and I am cold. I was just given a link to a friends site and another photographers site who steals her ideas and work. It is sickening. The gal who steals her work also steals from other prominent photographers. It's gross and leaves me feeling cold all over. I feel fear and think of pulling my images off the web asap. What would you do if your work was being stolen off the web?

water

This photo was taken at Napili Bay Maui on Oct 21st. Pinhole image. Water on rocks. I can hear the water moving in the ocean and the air whirling as I look at this photo. It was a beautiful quiet morning.

I just finished scanning all of my honeymoon pinhole images onto my laptop. I'm grateful I had the day today to get this done. I feel it is one of the most important bodies of work I have created. It's deeply personal and meaningful to me. It documents a transition in my life that I cherish. Todays actions are a huge step toward a dream I am manifesting. Today I am thinking about simple abundance. A book that came out a few years ago. Have you read it? 5 things I am grateful for: 1. My cat is laying near me on the couch while I work on my art. 2. I get to create my art!. 3. I am married to the greatest man EVER~!! 4. My home is warm, inviting, and is lovely to be in every day. 5. I am blessed by many dear friends and family members.

waking up in maui

this was the first image I took that morning. So early, little light, just the sound of the ocean.

one month anniversary

This is a pinhole image I took on October 20th on our honeymoon in Napili Bay Maui at sunrise. It is part of a series of 3. But I haven't scanned them all in yet and wanted to share something!

It's our one month anniversary today.

So far this married life is fabulous. I thought I knew what marriage was ( when I was in my twenties ). But the truth is - it was one big fat assumption. Marriage is a beautiful thing. It is different then it was when we were dating. I didn't think it would be - but it is. And in a really good way. The connection is deeper, and there is a richness to our relationship now that I didn't expect.

By the way..... I created an entire series of pinhole images on our honeymoon that will soon be printed and up in galleries and published. It's in the works and is all about connection, breathing, and well,,,,,you'll see.....

let's go to hawaii shall we??

This was one day in maui on our honeymoon. We sat under the cabana for hours, reading and listening to the ocean waves. It was HEAVENLY. One of my favorite days on Maui.
Jerry was reading Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. I read " Eat Pray Love". If you haven't read this book, please go get it. So well written, I was laughing out loud and deeply identifying with the way she expresses her internal dialogue.
Our honeymoon was incredible. 3 days in Oahu, swimming with dolphins at our hotel, visiting with my Hawaiian family there, and enjoying the decadence of the Kahala Hotel!
Then off to Maui to Napili Bay. our favorite place in Maui. The bay there is exquisite. So much to tell so I will take a few days to go through some highlights. The best part was being married to Jerry! Being with him - my husband - and hearing people call me Mrs. Seiner. So surreal. When we got to the first hotel we were welcomed with fresh orchid lei's and warm hand towels at the front desk!
ok ok - enjoy this first of many photos...
